Our Philosophy

We believe that the best way to improve results in both business and life is to help people develop and express their unique talents and potentials to their fullest extent.  We focus on the core skill areas that have been shown to be essential for success.  These are Personal Leadership, Relationships, Stress Management, Organization Skills, Planning, and Goal Achievement.  Lack in any one of these area can impede or stall your success.

We believe that companies can and should be great places to work. While bottom-line profits are essential, if your employees dread coming into work everyday because of the way the business is managed, you will have serious motivation and productivity problems.  A wealth of research has clearly demonstrated that productivity and bottom-line profits increase when you invest in improving people skills.

We guide our clients in a strong yet compassionate way to get clear on the outcomes they really want, create a realistic plan for achieving their goals, and act with the support, encouragement, challenge, and accountability that only coaching can provide.

We take a straightforward approach to identify your core issues and challenges in a compassionate, non-judgmental way, address them head-on, and resolve them once and for all.

We treat all clients with the highest respect.  The client’s agenda is the primary focus.  We focusing on the issues and goals that are most important to our clients as well as how their goals fit in with the overall balance and fulfillment of all concerned.

Because each client has unique challenges, our approach is customized to meet your specific situation.  Although we offer several different processes (see Services page), this is not a cookie cutter, one size fits all approach.  We custom design our processes to address your specific needs and produce lasting positive results quickly and powerfully.

Coaching provides a structure to help you create the results you really want for your business and your life. In coaching, the goal is to help you move forward on the agenda that you bring to coaching and also to help you bring forth the very best of yourself in that process.  Thus, it’s not only about helping you to accomplish your goals, but also about who you are being and becoming in the process of achieving your goals.  Our unique developmental coaching process combines the power of coaching with the skill development you need for outstanding success.  We first help you get clear on what you really want, setting goals that are resonant with your core values.  We then create a plan to help you acquire the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and resources you need to overcome saboteurs and obstacles, and put your plan into powerful focused action.  We do this by asking powerful questions, through encouragement, support, championing, challenging, and holding you accountable for the commitments you make to your life.  This will help you focus, prioritize, learn, and motivate yourself to achieve your goals.  We also provide the training and materials you need to help you achieve your goals much more quickly and powerfully than you could do on your own.

Coaching vs. Therapy

Professional coaching is the art and science of assisting healthy and effectively functioning individuals move forward and gain more meaningful and satisfying outcomes in their lives, careers, businesses and organizations. Coaching is not the practice of psychotherapy and not intended to be a substitute for therapy. Clients should have no expectation for a coach to provide any assessment or counseling to assist the client in working through emotional or behavioral difficulties that significantly interfere with personal, social, or occupational functioning.  If your challenges are significantly interfering with functioning in any of these areas, we will help direct you to the services of a qualified therapist.  

Finally, coaching is a very rewarding journey. we truly believe that effective coaching is one of the best things that could ever happen to anyone.  It is our expectation that you will look back at this experience as one of the best decisions of your life.  We are very much looking forward to working with you!
